About Us
Fawn and her family are the main driving force behind the Gluten Free Vault. They have been gluten-free since 2013 due to medical conditions, in great part due to Fawn’s oldest child.
Speaking from Experience
Everyone who writes at the Gluten Free Vault speaks from experience. We must write to answer questions from our own personal experience because everyone has an opinion about gluten free, but the only ones who can understand are the ones who walk it daily.
From preschool to kid’s parties, to handling holidays it isn’t easy to figure out, but for Fawn and her family, it has been important to learn. We hope that you won’t have to make some of the mistakes if we offer some of our experience!
Not only does Fawn have more than a decade of experience living gluten free, but she also had a gluten-free food cart (closed in March 2020).
This experience developed her cooking repertoire, increased her knowledge of what people are looking for, and served as an intensive class in gluten-free cooking.
After this experience, Fawn realized that what she loved the most about owning the gluten-free food cart wasn’t running the cart, making the food, or even developing menus. Helping people who came to the cart brought her the most pleasure.
When Covid-19 caused closures in 2020, it became an opportunity to reassess everything. In 2021, there wasn’t a path to reopen, and the food cart was sold. That is when the first iteration of the Gluten Free Vault happened.
All of us here at the Gluten Free vault hope to speak from experience and offer advice on how we handle situations, as well as share experiments on gluten-free products.
